Tulum, Mexico is becoming a great place to visit to dive in to Mexican culture all while experiencing its majestic scenery.
Going into the fifth month of a public health emergency we are all in a state of shock; and honestly trying to learn new ways to adjust to what have become the new norm.
The securing of a vaccination seem in the looming distance but our urge to move on with our lives have revved up!
We are all seeking new ways to amend our daily routines. Shifting gears in how to modifying our exercise regime, how to work from home, (without going crazy), and even maintaining meaningful relationships.https://www.mytruthlieshere.com/covid19-its-getting-real-here-are-ways-you-can-cope/
But hell that doesn’t mean we don’t miss the way things were (tear). So planning a trip to Tulum, Mexico was an absolute must for me.
Being such a social person, I have found this time has been the most interesting. And girlfriend, I’m all over the place. I’m looking at my vision board like I can’t let this year just pass me by.
I have literally been doing a bit of everything, blogging, learn site words in Spanish, learning tennis, trying new hair styles/products; you name it, I’m doing it with my co-defendant Corona.
How to travel during a public health emergency you ask?
But traveling to Tulum Mexico was a dream after seeing the enriched culture and beautiful pictures online. In addition, traveling was something I promised myself I would do more of this year.
But let’s face it, traveling during COVID19 was going to be difficult. I had already missed a trip to Italy to visit my daughter due to COVID19 and didn’t want the entire year to be a bust. So I was determined to keep my daughter’s and I summer vacation. So the planning for Tulum, Mexico commenced.
When traveling I naturally was concerned about the Coronavirus and wonder if there was a way to minimize my risk of the virus during traveling. Because let’s face it the moment I decided to go on vacation I was putting myself at risk for exposure of the coronavirus.
I wasn’t being completely careless! I figured my daughter had just returned from Italy at the height of the public health emergency, with little safety precautions, and a week or so after her return we went to New York City for a week in a fully packed theater for a play, museums, and in the always crowded Time Square with no major safety measures or national protocols (simply because there were none).
So we packed our survival kits of several fully filled hand sanitizer, Lysol wipes, mask and headed to Tulum, Mexico.
Tulum was just as amazing as I imagined.
Mexico was functioning 80% with most bars and restaurants welcoming guest with limited capacity. We completed excursion within the jungle that included 9 zip lines, 2 Cenotes, rock clubbing, and more.
We stayed at Casa Agape Boutique Hotel (https://casaagape.mx/en/) in a boutique style hotel to avoid the large crowds in the chain hotels. The hotel did an amazing job keeping the property sanitized and required their own health protocols for all guest.
We all felt very safe in Mexcio and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I would certainly travel again during a public health emergency. Check out the list below of the must see sites to Tulum, Mexico.
