Ok guys so we are nearly out this thing. Well hopefully!!! Fingers crossed (smile). Well that is what I would like to tell myself this week. Every week it’s something different but this week… we are near the end of this Coronavirus invasion- at least in my mind. So lets set a plan in motion to getting back out on the scene.
I refuse to give you guys another sad post about COVID19. https://www.mytruthlieshere.com/depression-stop-it-in-its-tracks-motivate-yourself/
Instead I have focused some of my energy into creating a list/plan of must visit places when this all end.
Actually, I am reeving myself up to regain my normalcy for when they allow us back into the world. In doing this I’m hunting and researching all the cool local bars and lounges I can go and support. Small businesses have been hit pretty hard and I want to ensure I support my locals. While this post is mainly regarding local bars and restaurants, I do plan to seek local boutiques and shops I can also support in an effort to keeping my community strong! This list is not solely small businesses but I want to do my best to visit a few new establishments following this pandemic.
Let’s plan to do our part in revitalizing our economy.
Soon and very soon we are going to be able to enjoy our lives again!
I know everyone’s question is WHEN??!!! I can’t answer that but I can help you hash a plan for when they reopen outdoors.
If you taking a page out of my book, you are certainly online shopping, exercising, and researching makeup combos you can try for happy hours and date nights. We will be ready- in my Tiffany Haddish voice. Ready with the fashions and prayerfully the body. Well maybe just not COVID overweight.
Prior to social distancing, I generally socialized 3 -4 times a week, so needless to say this stay home mandate has been a challenge for me. But instead of moping around the house I am creating a “Get the Hell out the House Plan” to share with all my Washingtonians. Yup, pass go and collect $200. Because you will need it for all your libations and delicious dinners you will treat yourself too when the country reopens.
Ok so I have been scoping out a few bloggers in the area…OK more like obsessing over their life pre COVID19. Let me tell you it got me juiced and have motivated me to put a list of things to do the moment we are free!
The Master Plan
1. Eatbrgz
- I can’t wait to sink my teeth in a juicy burger and I’m starting here.
2. Throw Social
- Ax throwing?! Yes sign me up. A place to blow off steam after this pandemic. My friend has been trying to get to this spot before we all went on lock down. He will be happy to hear, I am looking to schedule a group fun trip here in June. It’s going to be a blast.
3. Anchovy social
- My type of scene for pizza and cocktails… Upscale! It’s only pizza for me here because their menu serve up great options for seafood appetizers but my shellfish allergies limit me to this option but anchovies on pizza –yes sgn me up.
4. Barmini– plan ahead
- This is definitely on the list for date night. To get dressed up with good conversation and well curated drinks. Aww the equivalent to sunshine on your face in the morning on a vacation day
5. Archipelago
- Speaking of vacation, this definitely seem like a slice of vacation in a bar form. Yup I’m adding this to the list.
6. Eaton
- Their retro décor vibe is a whole moment. I’m sure I’ll need this after all this quarantining.
7. The Imperial Dram & Grain-
- The Imperial Dram & Grain- A sexy dinner date! Sigh to be back to our normal lifestyle.
Just doing this list, have me craving steaks and rooftop vibes!
So who’s joining me?! If you live in the Washington, D.C. area please share any local small businesses I can frequent and feature here on this blog.
